Mission Statement:
To
serve in the best interest of the public’s health, safety and general
welfare of the residents within the unincorporated areas of San Miguel
County by assuring for the orderly, harmonious and planned development
of the lands.

enforce the land use, litter and solid waste ordinance of the
County.

Planning: To protect and enhance the quality of life by guiding

Subdivision Applications: Process applications for
subdivisions and ensures that the
New Mexico Subdivision Act and County Subdivision Ordinance are
followed
accordingly. |

Code Enforcement: To ensure that the various land use
ordinances of
San
Miguel
County
are adhered to. |

Zoning Development Permits: To issue zoning development
permits for all new
construction, remodeling, renovation and expansion of buildings and
structures. |

Claim of Exemptions: To ensure that divisions of land comply
with the provisions of
the New Mexico Subdivision Act and San Miguel County Subdivision
Ordinance. |

Business License
